Data literacy is considered a key competence in the digital age. KIT has therefore set itself the goal of developing skills for the sustainable and professional handling of research data and promotes measures to develop RDM skills right from the start of university studies. The aim is to promote professional skills in research data management (RDM) among students and lecturers at KIT. The project will design and produce tailor-made digital learning modules. In addition, a corresponding RDM learning platform will be developed and made available on KIT's central ILIAS platform. These learning opportunities are to be used integratively and additively in the early stages of scientific training.
The DORA4KIT-DL project team is a cooperation between the Institute for Functional Interfaces (IFG), the Institute for Biological and Chemical Systems - Functional Molecular Systems (IBCS-FMS), the Center for Media Learning (ZML), the Institute for Vocational and General Education (IBAP), the House of Competence (HoC), the Steinbuch Center for Computing (SCC) and the RDM@KIT service team.
